FAQ

What is a vehicle wrap? Is it paint?

Vehicle wraps are hi-performance vinyl coverings that are applied directly to your vehicle. They can often be mistaken for custom paint jobs.

How effective are vehicle wraps?

Surveys conducted have proven that, in a large metropolitan area like Phoenix, a wrapped vehicle can generate between 30,000 and 70,000 impressions daily. Drive it to and from work and park it in high visibility areas to maximize your advertising dollars. Fleet vehicle advertising boosts name recognition 15 times greater than any other form of advertising.

Does it matter what color my vehicle is?

No, vehicle wraps are not translucent; you will not be able to see through them.

It looks like there are graphics on the windows, will I still be able to see through the windows?

Generally, window wraps are printed on a perforated vinyl that allows you to see through the rear and side rear windows. Some clients opt for covering their windows with regular vinyl for privacy purposes.

Does Cortez Visual have a monthly payment plan?

No, but we do accept major credit cards.

I want a vehicle wrap on my car, how do I get started?

Call our office to schedule your vehicle wrap consultation or click here to request a quote. We require a 50% deposit prior to proceeding to production.

Will the wrap damage my paint?

No. A vehicle wrap, when applied and removed correctly by a professional installer, does not damage your car’s paint. The materials we use are formulated with removable adhesive that will not harm your car’s paint. In fact, many people find that wrapping their vehicle can assist in keeping a higher resale value on the vehicle due to the protective benefits of the wrap.

Can I take it through the carwash?

Certainly. You can wash it just like you did before it was wrapped, but it is not recommended that you use wax. We recommend brushless car washes.

What if I dent my car, can my vehicle wrap be fixed?

Yes, we keep all our production files handy and we can easily replace the damaged pieces or panels of your wrap.

Will my vehicle wrap peel or fade?

A permanent vehicle wrap is guaranteed not to fade, crack or peel for 36 months on vertical surfaces and 12 months on horizontal surfaces.

Do I have to wash my vehicle before the installation of my wrap?

Yes. All vehicles must be washed thoroughly and free of wax, oil, and armor-all type products. Our installation team will examine the vehicles surface prior to installation to ensure it meets our standards. Any vehicle that isn’t to our standards will be addressed accordingly. This may subject the project to delays and additionals costs.

Why a vehicle wrap? Why not just advertise in newspapers or magazines?

A: Combine the total that you or your company spends on advertising each year and compare those costs to the cost of a vehicle wrap. Factor in that a wrap lasts between 2-5 years and, within that time, will be seen by millions. In addition, there are no monthly fees, maintenance or renewal charges. You buy it, you own it!

Will you wrap the roof?

Some vehicles the roof is included in our quote. Generally roofs are not wrapped (vans, trucks or SUVs), unless it is requested by the customer.

Will you provide color and art proofs prior to printing?

Yes. We will not print anything until you are completely satisfied with your design and have physically approved the design and color proof.

Can you wrap plastic, fiberglass, or chrome?

A painted plastic bumper can be wrapped without any problems. In the case of fiber-glass, un-painted plastic, rubber or chrome bumpers, application of vinyl on these areas are not recommended or guaranteed to adhere for the duration of the life of the wrap.

What if I plan to change my company logo or phone number in the future?

This is not a problem. We can print and install graphic overlays, so that information may be removed or replaced if you need to change or update your car wrap.

How many vehicles have you wrapped?

We have been wrapping vehicles for nearly 20 years with a sum total over eight thousand!

What makes an effective wrap?

Aside from the technical hurdles of creating an effective vehicle wrap – the most crucial part of a vehicle wrap is the design.

Can you wrap the mirrors?

In custom wrap applications we do what is necessary to make the wrap look perfect. Because mirrors have tight compound curves, seaming is required. In non-custom wrap applications the mirrors are not typically wrapped or quoted because of the cost.

What content should I put on my website?

Your content depends on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need to purchase from you.

We will discuss with you in detail about this and guide you at the time of signing up for services.

What is copywriting and why is it important?

Copywriting is the act of writing copy (text) for the purpose of advertising or marketing a product, business, person, opinion or idea. The addressee (reader, listener, etc.) of the copy is meant to be persuaded to buy the product advertised for, or subscribe to the viewpoint the text is written from.

You can do it yourself or get it done in-house if you feel you are able to accomplish successfully written content. However, we strongly suggest enlisting the talents of a professional.

Your Website is your first impression to a potential customer or client. Content is the only persuasive element of your website. Website content—if written properly—is what reaches your customers on a personal level and shows them how you are the solution to their problems. Words are our sole source of communication. They trigger our emotions and are the defining factor in most of our decisions (especially our buying decisions). A professional copywriter understands how to blend emotion, the communication style of your target customer, and the details and facts about your business into a harmonic flow that is well received by your clients and triggers a desire to buy.

In addition, if good search engine positioning is of importance to you, you need to realize that the selection of effective keywords and delicate balance of keyword saturation in your copy is absolutely vital to success.

How long does it take to design a website?

It varies from website to website based on the requirement. In the initial consultation, we will provide you the timeline estimates for your project.

If you have the content for your site written before the design process begins, it will help in completing the project quickly. Content should be in electronic format. Not having your copy completed before the design process can significantly delay the completion of your website.

What is Responsive web design and why do you encourage it?

A website that responds to the device that accesses it and delivers the appropriate output for it uses responsive design. Rather than designing multiple sites for different-sized devices, this approach designs one site but specifies how it should appear on varied devices. Your site will look great on a full screen computer as well as a mobile device such as an iPhone.

What is SEO and is it included in your websites?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and all of our web sites are designed with search engine placement in mind. That means your web site will rank well in a keyword search on search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Search engines change their algorithms and indexing methods constantly, requiring a great deal of continuous education on the part of your web designer.

Aside from the basic SEO included in your site, we offer creative writing and keyword optimization for your site. This service is suggested if you want your site to rank highly.

I like the look of flash websites, do you offer them?

Flash isn’t a widely used/accepted technology anymore. Apple mobile devices don’t support the language which renders your site obsolete. We do not recommend using it.

Can I update the website content?

When we have completed the website design you will be given the information required to update content on your own. We also offer training for an additional fee.

If you don’t want to bother with website updates we will be more than happy to update content and graphics for you. We’d be happy to discuss the packages we offer.
